Introduction to Mavis!
Her full name was Mavis Ana Ng Pancakes Hamm.
- “Mavis” is from the song “52 Girls” by the B-52’s
- “Ana Ng” is from a They Might Be Giants song of the same name
- “Pancakes” is a reference to the brown spots on her white fur, which look like pancakes
After Mavis passed away, I wrote a lengthy blog post about her.
Mavis was an energetic mix of numerous breeds: Chihuahua, Miniature Pinscher, Shih-Tzu, and others. She was emotional, swore a lot, and had kind of an unhinged Southern accent. She loved to wear clothes and was rarely seen naked, keeping her signature pancakes (round brown spots on her white fur) mostly concealed from view.
She frequently said “Oh My God!!!” and “OMG”, and was also known for her signature phrase “DAT’S WEËR'” when she thought something was weird.
Her alter-ego was Shadowbite, The Vampire Dog, whose favored means of consumption was to suck the blood from your eye, which she will do “alllll niiiiight”.
Mavis also had a penchant for graffiti.
She was adopted from Hearts4Doxies rescue in Renton, WA.
